Who We Are
Our Mission
At Bach PodZ, we believe in sustainable togetherness of all peoples and as part of that the right of Kotahitanga, a type of collective solidarity, not just with each other, but with all life in this world.
The philosophy of the pods is a homage to the Marae, a traditional Maori meeting house, which allows users to travel through all aspects of life together from political, private, communal, and mourning, to joy. As such, the PodZ may function individually, as well as in union as a community of PodZ.
New Zealand Made
Our podz are “not just a bach”. They are sleepouts, music studios, hunting huts, retreats, offices, workers` cottages, Air BnB, and an autonomous space for returning sons & daughters & their partners.
They symbolise our own iconic Kiwi culture, crafted and designed by dedicated Master Builders

Bach designer/ Master Builder/ project manager, Andrew Porteous, has a wealth of experience in construction and years of working in design.
